I'm not really sure why you sound so angry. If you don't care about football, why do you care? Maybe I just read you wrong I'm not sure. What I am sure of though is why did the Packers force him into a decision when he wasn't ready last spring? I'm NOT a packer fan, I've lived in MN all my life and we would love to have him here. Talk about opening game. Do I think him selfish, maybe but I also felt he was rushed into making that choice. What was the hurry? He had till training camp to decide this. Also, I give him credit for turning down all those millions to sit home and count all that money and fish. He wants to play ball and he’ll do it wherever he can. I’m hoping against hope that he’ll be wearing purple and gold this season. Whether he screws up or not, we’ll have a QB who really cares for a change.

There are two sides to every story and this story has both then some. Brett was forced to make a decision and pressured to do so before the draft. Just coming off the season at age 38 he had to indicate that he knew for 100% certain he wanted to play the following season. Any player with his stats and duration in the league couldn’t be sure. He made the announcement but never filed the paperwork. He left his door open.

Management has not supported Farve, minimally for the past 4 years. GB is a team under cap yet they refuse to bring in big talent. They want to grow talent… great, it usually ends up leaving before long. All Farve wants is the support of management. He is the opposite of an egotistical being. He is humble, a hard worker, and genuine.

GB is a fan owned franchise. The fans want Farve as QB and Farve wants to play. Let him play then, simple as that. Rodgers will have his day, in the meantime, he gets to learn from the greatest. The idea of Brett as back up is ludacris. If he couldn’t perform or was screwing up, then fine, send someone else in… But starting position is his due right and the only way to treat the future Hall of Famer and a guy who have given so much to the franchise, the fans and to the NFL and sports world. He is not just GBs QB, he is America’s QB.

It is not managements responsibility to protect Farve’s legacy. He is a big boy, if he wants to come back, we should be thrilled to have him.

Come back home, Farve. Much love to you from WI!
